Gaia Genesis (Galaxy Cyclone, Drowning Mirror Force), Servants of Kings (Wall of Disruption, Forbidden Chalice, Draining Shield), Valiant Souls (Anki, Canadias) & Visions of Ice (Spellbooks, TTH, The Tricky) are some of the best packs to open first in order to acquire the usual support tech cards for a lot of Meta Decks.

If you are a new player, I suggest building a cheap deck that can easily help you reach KOG like fur hires or vamps and then start saving gems to dig for staple cards.

Actually now that spellbook decks are meta, visions of ice has all cards that deck need although for some versions you will also need to buy the silent spellcaster decks too.
