Unless they do something with the dots on the Gate, there's only 1 character left for DM, besides Tristan. Currently there's only enough space left for two dots. One dot will be Tristan.
If they do something with the dots that enables more DM characters to be added, then you can start hoping for regular Marik again.
*I think Konami already decided on who will take the next space after Tristan, hence why I say wait to see what happens next with the dots.
Maybe the last space will be regular Marik, maybe it will be someone else and then when they want to add another DM character, they'll do something with the dots.
...The dots mean absolutely nothing. The spacing between each dot is adjusted when another character is added to the gate to accommodate. There could be 100 duelists on there and it wouldn't be an issue. (Also, the dots don't really serve any purpose aside from being a fairly crappy indicator of how many duelists of that world are in the Gate anyway.)
Hah, yeah. It took me a minute to figure out what they meant by "dots", too. They're talking about the meaningless dots that represent which character you have selected and where in the arbitrary order they're in, under the mistaken belief that the only possible spots left they could fit one in are the very left and right.

I did not see any dots at the gates. Where did you even get this idea that whatever it is you are seeing has anything to do with whether new characters are released or not if Konami doesn't explain anything like usual?
