I hope they change his VA, but I sincerely doubt it will happen. His voice is way to childish and high-pitched. Might change to the Japanese voices at one point.

Don't compare zexal with that trash of gx. zexal have really great moments and really great characters like kaito, shark, all barians, quatro, three and four. even yuma become a good protagonist on the second season.

nope,these characters get younger every series, the main character is literally 8 yrs old, looks like 6 yr old, and it does not sit well with us fans, zexal needs to add more mature characters like Alexix Rhodes

There has never been a Yugioh series with a protagonist younger than 13.

Yuma is the youngest at 13.
The next one is Yuya at 14.
Judai/Jaden is 15.
Yusaku is 16.
Yusei is the oldest at 17-18.

Yugi's age is never officially revealed, but since he's still in high school and Yusaku, who is also in high school, is 16, it can be assumed Yugi is also 16.

16 is usually the "common middleground" age in anime, old enough to have a more mature mind, but not old enough to be called an adult.

gx and zexal are definetely different than each other. zexal likely dm. school kid with ancient duel spirit who live in his neckless (millenium puzzle or emperor's key) trying to help each others with dueling against a demon who hurt the ancient spirit many many years ago ( don thosuand / bakura(i mean zorc). gx likely arcv. a duel school students cross dimensions because he forgot about his past.

Gx and Zexal are both good series on their own and you need to give them time. Well the sub ofc. the dub has their own atrocious 🔥 put into the show warping it. Judai is an uncaring a hole in the dub and Yuuma is just 1000x annoying with no character development in the dub.
