If someday VRAINS world is released and Go Onizuka will become playable character, what do you think about his skill called "anti-skill" like in the anime which has this description: "If opponent's skill is activated, you can negate that skill and if you do, draw 2 cards. You can only use this skill once per duel." Is it broken? Free pot of greed? Or not? I'd like to see your opinion.
Just disabling skills is fine I mean if your opponent's deck just doesn't work without skill then it's an insta win for you (I suppose you'd be running a deck that is good even without skill). If your opponent's deck is still good even without skill then it's a fair scenario for both and the duel is decided by the who has the most broken cards, what yugioh is at its very core
Disabling skills is way too overpowered. It needs some additional restrictions like reducing the size of your starting hand to be balanced. Not sure why there should be a "draw 2 cards" involved because that would be even more broken.
It needs the draw 2 cards when Konami releases it (if they actually do), along with a Structure Deck or Main Box.
After they got enough sales, they can nerf the skill anytime.
If they really want to add the "draw 2 cards" effect, it will have some other drawback (you cannot activate effects the first turn, you must have X something cards in your deck, etc). I haven't watched VRAINS so I'm not sure what deck that guy uses but the skill could be tied to his archetype.
