It can help you manipulate the Levels of Mecha Phantom Beasts I guess. (By reducing the number of MPB Tokens you control.) It can also of course just get you more damage on board given MPB Tokens have 0 ATK.
It's not really designed for any combos that are applicable to Duel Links, though. Its main purpose is to turn a MPB Token into Xyz Material.
MPBs have so much near-future potential once we get Xyz. I think people just aren't investing because of the 3 monster slot syndrome, which really screws Megaraptor and makes it impossible for Coltwing to be added to the game :(
