Dark Necrofears effect didn't work on this card. Is this a bug? It says that Silent Magician is unaffected by spells but this clearly is a monster effect. Also Dark Necrofear just changes control of the monsters and doesn’t special summon it again. So it should have worked, shouldn't it? I lost the duel because of this...
Let check the card rulling in official page: -If "Imperial Order" is active when "Dark Necrofear" is destroyed while a Monster Card, it must still be equipped to your opponent's monster, but you will not gain control of it because its effect is negated by "Imperial Order". ---- So from this line we can assume that dark necrofears become equip spell.
another rulling -If this card was discarded from your hand by an opponent's card effect, such as "Confiscation" it does not become an Equip Spell Card during the End Phase, since it was not destroyed. ----- It mentioned "Equip Spell Card"

In addition to Equip Spell Cards, sometimes Trap Cards or Monster
Cards are treated as an Equip Card; and the rules about Equip Spell

I was just confused because it didn't mention on the card itself that it becomes an equip spell, but in the rule books it's pretty clear.
i had a problem with this, i couldve won the entire duel with it, he had a dark magician and i choose to target it, but nothing happened. he didnt activate a trap or anything the effect just didnt work
