They can release only one copy of the card just like Etaqua, in this way the specific card is limited to only one character and you can't use skills. We can see the consequences of this with the Goyo archetype: only 2 cards are released and noone ever uses them or their skill with Trudge.

Goyo will be dead either till they give us a box, OR a good earth synchro archetype in the game to actually make people want to run it

The only good Goyo is Goyo Guardian, and even that is already nerfed by the time we get Trudge in DL, so DL gets the nerfed version instead.

So nobody bothered with the Goyo stuff.
