Yes Actually. Blue eyes can get on the filed easier with Kaibaman. Yes it cant attack but 1) your field can be empty and you can still summon BEWD
2) You would need to protect your tributes for one turn i.e waste protection cards
3) In the event of econ/Kuriboh Blue eyes has better DEF stats
Kaibaman + BEWD + Burst Stream = 3 cards whereas Gilford = 3 random monsters + Gilford = 4 cards. So yeah, BEWD is better. It does take more specific cards, but in return it's far, FAR easier to get out (how often do you have 3 monsters on the field in a turn where you still can Normal Summon?)
Ah, forgot about Obedience Schooled. But that's not without its cost: it means you have to fill your deck with a lot of lvl 2 Beast-Types (taking into account you may draw some). So, Gilford may be usable in a Baboon deck, but it's a terrible idea to run Obedience Schooled JUST for Gilford
