Examples of terrible archetypes that did well in Duel Links:
-Fur Hires
-Neos
-Ancient Gears
-Vampires

It's almost a 50/50 so we can't be sure if any top tier tcg archetypes would be good in Duel Links.

I guess monarchs, darklords, darkworlds were kinda strong at one point in the tcg, but all 3 are still missing key cards in duel links

Altantean Mermails were really strong, but Mermails completely flopped in duel links

We have a lot of archetypes that were strong but we are still missing a lot of support cards.

Wind ups, fire fists, geargias, and maldoches will be a lot better if they get their Xyzs.

Glad beast, dark worlds, black wings, and gishki are missing their boss monsters.

Sometimes it also depends on "that one card" and the timing of its release.

Amazoness and SSA are the best example of this. Their deck never really do anything in the meta both pre-Onslaught/SSA and post, but in DL their deck soar through the roof with Onslaught/SSA.
