imo it should be more newbie-friendly or you can gain something even you lose (like pegasus event you can earn points even you lose to him)
You seem like a nice guy, so I'm going to e straight with you. Duel Links is a welcome change of pace from the formats we see today, bringing it back to basics, but you shouldn't mistake this as a casual game. Once you get into the gold ranks up, the competition is fierce, and there is a clear metagame that you can read about on this site.
If you can't or won't play a deck that is good against the current meta, or at least a strong runner up option that takes the meta into account, then you're going to lose; that's just the way it is. Stay in casual PvP or face bots if you want to be casual, and that's fine, but don't whine about competitive being competitive, do something about it.
i'll be fine with this event since i got various decks and playstyles (but not that expensive version) and really thank for your comments.I know since this is a 1v1 card game all of us have to admit that there will be challenge , competitive things anyway and i realized that.
But hey what about others that really dont like challenging,climbing ladders and so many people that dont like to take so much pressure.It wouldnt fun to take those losses along the cup season.Even my subaccount that opened only 4th pack cannot climb to silver then what about others. i really sad with them.But after all,all of us really dont know about cup at all.let us hope
With that, I can agree with you. Duel Links is the best so far, but YGO games have never been new player friendly. They could help us out by letting us start with not-garbage cards, but they don't. I personally don't like how very rare cards like Wonder Balloons are straight up better than the comparable cards we start with, like Banner of Courage.
