Did you Special Summon from the Main Deck or the Extra Deck that turn? Because if you did, you cannot activate Phoenix Formation that turn.

Yes i probably did. I special summoned at least one "Harpie lady sisters" that turn. That might explain it.

But i did it Before trying to activate the spell. I thought you could not special summon after activating the effect. Man this card sucks if you can't even special summon Before activating this spell card..

if it was possible now THAT would be broken af. if it was possible you'd have to limit it to one card per deck. even then... you can win with just 1 or 2 turns

Just for the record, carefully pay attention to the wording used.

"during the turn" = the entire turn, including before card's activation

"for the rest of the turn" = only everything AFTER the card's activation

so somebody correct me no special summoning at all to activate this card? Meaning in order to use it you'd have to have 2 harpies on the field who've somehow survived and then normal summon one more to use this card? Cuz that's just not happening in ranked duels, thats a very slim chance you'll get that opportunity
