It still could be an option if the extra deck wasn't so tight for Lavals. But it is, each of the 7 slots counts... so it's likely not seeing use.

To be fair the OP didn't specifically say this is decent in Laval deck.

The material and effect are generic.

Yet I can’t see why not run Grenosaurus or Zenmaines over this. Tbh this is only not going in my Lavals due to 7 slots, an 8th and he’d still get in.

This and some other cards were created in a plot line within the Duel Termina series in which monsters of two different archetypes end up fusing, showing effects unrelated to both. This guy in particular is the combination of Gem-Knight Obsidian and Laval Lakeside Lady.

It is indeed very decent, as it’s currently the only rank 3 that’s a warrior and has more than 0 attack... the effect fits any warriors deck that uses lv3s

With Alucard released I don’t see a point of Xyz summoning any generic rank 3 other than it, Zenmaines or Nightmare Shark, even for warriors sadly.

Hi, I’m the Laval player who didn’t put this into my deck but would put him with an 8th slot... well I decided that’s my Laval deck, I have enough synchros already, let’s take out one of those staple synchros and put this guy in so I did. The staple should be the one waiting for the new slot, not an actual archetype card. So welcome to my lavals, Ignis.
