isn't morphtronic celfon an UR Card? so if i look at the banner i can see that it's an UR Card... so why is this Card listed as an SR?
Anoymous
Although Morphtronic Celfon appears in the banner image as a UR, YAZAN has confirmed that it’s listed as an SR in-game.

Duel Links Meta confirmed this.

Ok, thank you. Im hyped for morphtronics so it's better for me to know, that it is an SR and easier to get.

Same man, no problem :)

Um... sorry to burst your bubble about Celfon being an SR and easier to get but... this is a mini box. In a mini box, both UR and SR cards are at 1x. Meaning, it literally makes no difference if you're trying to pull 1/80 for an SR or 1/80 for a UR. Perhaps even worse, this seems to be the 3 UR mini box, meaning it will have 100 packs instead of 80. Either way, good luck to you.

"Um... sorry to burst your bubble about Celfon being an SR and easier to get but... this is a mini box. In a mini box, both UR and SR cards are at 1x. " --> SR are easier to get with the sales... But you have to spend real money.

How is it easier to get SR on sale?
I tried not long time ago to buy the ultra-rare on sale from mini box, which I needed to complete the deck, and I still got another one even with a 50% chance....

"People spend money on Konami... I mean Komoney?"

When you have money, you don't care. And developpers are working for this game. They have to be paid. It's a game I spend a lot (A LOT) of time on. I like it, even if I'm not fond of all their business model.

Not disagreeing with this, just don't like the model behind it. I can't give a good similarity to any other card collecting game, but there are several games out there that when they release new characters, they don't automatically make the older that were in the game obsolete....

It is for those types of games where I wouldn't mind spending money because it feels like the money you spent will actually remain useful in that game. Take for example Duel Links. My first account I joined when Galactic Origins was the newest box and Glad Beasts were meta. Glad Beasts would be a joke in the current game meta. Rather than spend money on a box, if I want to play a particular....

It's easier and cheaper to start a new account and use the starting gems to build it. Perfect example is the BEWD current meta. I started a new account and got 2 Silver's Cry from Stardust Box set (took a few resets). 3 days later I have a consistent though F2P BEWD deck that's already at legend rank. The problem with this model for me is that the money spent on Duel Links becomes obsolete too...

quickly, at most meta will remain meta for around 1-3 months, and that's assuming it doesn't get a ban hammer hit that makes it completely useless later on. That is why I won't spend on the game. Now, I don't know if spending real money makes SR cards easier to get than UR when both are at 1x in a mini box, but if that's the case then good point. My point was about using gems to pull.

Old decks are not obsolete... they just don't bring you to KOG anymore. If you want to be KOG every month with the same old deck, that's sad...

... I spend money on this game because I like it. I'm not KOG every month, I don't care about that. I play for fun. Sometimes I spend money on a deck which is not Tier 1.

" Now, I don't know if spending real money makes SR cards easier to get than UR when both are at 1x in a mini box, but if that's the case then good point. " --> There are regularly "3 booster + 1 SR" for less than 2-3 buucks, that's why I say it's "easier". To have an UR card, you have to spend around 25 dollars, except when there is a sale like the one we had last week.
Anoymous
Of course KOG, and even Legend rank should be accessible only to P2W players. They pay for it. You should be glad to be able to hit KOG by being only F2P !

Playing against weak AI decks is not fun for me, it's too easy to beat. The whole point of playing ranked for me is to win and you won't be wining there...

with obsolete decks that don't compete with the meta. If you enjoy playing against AI then sure, no deck would be obsolete because AI decks are made easy to beat. If you don't mind losing against meta decks 50%+ of the time using an obsolete old deck then sure, those old decks won't be obsolete to you. They are for me.

This is accessible to anyone who has the gems to build the current meta deck at that time. F2P could reach KOG (which I did) during Glad Beast meta, sylvan meta, fur hire meta, among others.
