If this is released now than why the 🔥 isn’t dark renewal or magical dimension in this game yet? Yea let’s give more indirect support to bewd powercreep to dm even more so eternal soul is worthless when it gets released. I don’t know how the 🔥 spellcaster are even suppose to come back in any of the metas if Konami keeps withholding all the good support to them…

True but pulling a galaxy eyes first turn in a spell caster deck is an awful brick so the most you would use it is one of each for quick kills, which is stupid. Magical dimension would be much more balanced.

Dude you don't need to tribute galaxy eyes (actually you can't) any other >2000 atk monster works

You don't need to run GEPD at all to run this card.

DM deck definitely can run this card.

But if you don's summon GEPD you go -1. If you summon it's neutral in card advantage.

Yeah, the card doesn't have "can" sentence in the text which probably mean you need GE to active this card, but I could be wrong.

"and if you do" is the key here.
That PSCT has a ruling stating this:

AND IF YOU DO: <Do A, and if you do, do B>
Timeline: Considered simultaneous. Both happen at the same time.

Causation: A is required for B, but NOT vice-versa. If A does not happen, then stop. If B cannot happen, you still do A.

Based on that, you still tribute opponent's monster when Hyper Galaxy resolve, even if after that you cannot summon a GEPD.

Which means you should still be able to use this card without running GEPD.

I think that's not the case

By yugioh rules you can't activate a card you can't resolve, hyper galaxy has not a "you can" in its text so summoning GE is mandatory. If you don't run GE you don't even get to activate Hyper galaxy.

Neither does the card they used as an example when explaining that "and if you do" ruling.

They used Memory of an Adversary as example, whose effect also doesn't have "you can" after "and if you do".
