That´s because Duel Links is a great YGO TCG game, but a terrible actual YGO game based on the anime/manga mythos. DL might as well have been a simple TCG virtual simulator (like YGOPro), in which cards are added without events nor characters and giving us a monthly Gem allowance, and the same amount of people´d still play it.
