Reading some of the comments you'd be correct. Everyone is talking about Magician Navigation and Magnets.

Yeah, people completely ignored that Eatos is a 2500 ATK monster we can easily summon from the hand as long as we have no monster in our Graveyard.

We don't even need to the equip spell effect, the special summon is a separate effect, making it very splashable and a strong game opener in DL.

There also decks that can play Eatos more “consistently” by keeping their graveyards empty, such as Madolches

Eatos is a pretty decent first turn play that's for sure but I don't see alot of people using em

Mainly because most people's playstyle nowadays involves filling the Graveyard, thus rendering Eatos useless.
