Why wouldn't they? They don't have a Flip Effect, so that clause is irrelevant.

The one denied by The Spell Absorbing Life is Flip Effect. Though similiar, both are different things

Flip effects are from flip effect monsters which say FLIP: blah blah blah. The wording is important...FLIP: blah blah blah, is not the same as 'is flipped face up'. So these are not flip effect monsters, rather they have an effect that happens when turned face up.
