Nope, You dont need monster effect negation. Once Gate Guardian is out, she doesnt do anything. You do only need de-spell and Counter Counter to negate Bending Destiny.

This is true. The Fire Cat destroyed my Slash Dragon and gave me 2800 Damage. Anything added to Gate Guardian is death if she pulls Fire on your.
That being said, as long as you don't destroy her Monsters and stand there Guarding your Gate (;p ) she won't do anything, except maybe Future Vision.
