I mean... It's easier to summon, considering that you don't need to rely on your opponent having monsters... And the discards can also help, if you discard something that has a GY effect... The type also helps, because Spellcasters have more support... So yeah, i think that The Tricky is a better card (alone)
It definitely has its uses, but overall Cyber Dragon is a much better card than the Tricky simply due to the amount of archetypal support CD has alongside having a lesser “cost” if you could call it that
He did say alone that The Tricky is better, which imo it is, if you put the The Tricky into the Blue-Eyes Deck it can Kimo Dragon to the grave which would allow to special summon a Blue Eyes White Dragon and now you have 3000 & 2000 on the field, plus Cyber Dragon being summoned is a normal summon whereas The Tricky is a special summon so now you could tribute summon or go into a synchro summon
