They should be back to the roots . Better was the classic yu gi oh with powerful cards without theme decks. Like yata garasu, chaos emperor dragon, etc
Actually, one of the most powerful deck during Xyz era didn't really employ archetype.
Dino Rabbit.
The Xyz bosses of the deck are part of an archetype, yes, but that archetype is not really used for the deck. The deck focus more on swarming random dino vanillas via Rescue Rabbit, to bring out the Xyz bosses whose effect restrict your opponent's plays.
I'm still fine with xyz, but please god let this be the last one.
I don't like pendulums nor link, i don't even know how they will apply those into duel links.
TCG has always been like that too. Milk customers as much as possible thanks to power creep.
Let the small buyers run away. Those who stayed a little bit longer have already spent too much. Leaving 1-2 years later will feel like wasted time & money for them. Hence they stay.
Power creep even harder, more profits.
