I just defeated Arkana and a different cutscene played after the duel. He started to talk about someone who is coming, and his eyes turned white... So scary, since I'm in a completely dark room and alone right now. Anyone swa this cutscene too?
Yes it happens after you win 7 times against him and get the 50 gems for it. I kinda hoped for his deck or at least his "appearance" to change (talking different or something like that). It's still a cool little gimmick storywise.
after my 7th win against him lvl 40 he said that too! but its been around 2 hours and still no sign of him...so I'm hoping maybe a lvl 50 version might come up
I had this yesterday in the evening (so ~ 11 hours ago from now) but he did not appear on level 50, just some lvl 30s and 40s. But also normally only gate event duelists get a level 50, so I doubt that Arkana will have a lvl 50 deck. The cutscene was still really nice though. I'd love to have some more story in this game.
People have wanted Yami Marik in the game for months now. And since the hint for the next LD to come was one that people have been waiting for, the odds are very good he is the one coming July 25.
It's a hint that the new character is indeed the one and only Yami Marik since his millennium allows him to control minds, and he's the character that I wanted the most so I'm happy about that :D
Perhaps is the young Marik : instead of yami Marik. Don't forget The good side was the one controlling Arkana. Yami Marik also says in the anime he never care for that fool Arkana -and prefers to be alone lol
I actually had a nightmare after I saw that scene. I dreamed that while I was playing this event, Marik (the regular one, oddly enough) suddenly popped out and yelled: "I'm coming!!" It scared the heck out of me for a minute after I woke up. I guess I've been playing this game too much. XD
