Judging by their duel replay decks it looks like they just use the same decks as everyone else but they just played alot more games then everyone else and just got a bit luckier then the next guy. I don't see anything that would make me say wow this guy is smart or anything like that.
He states it that he got the deck from one guy later already. So.. why the real creator is not the winner? It's play time as op say and the deck creator say so himself in reddit that it's good but he just stop himself because of time.
all these guys spend thousands on a kids game. they have 3 of every SR and UR the day a new box comes out. but I gotta respect dkayed. he was the first one in that tournament using a handless control deck; that was an amazing counter to the meta. I was so sick of harpie at that time, I couldn't counter it
I agree the handless guy deserves to win it. the guy with the relinquished pay 2 win deck is just guys who plays a well know deck but played the game non stop for a week and a half.
