anyone know why Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys doesn't special summon after sent to the graveyard by Tribute of the Doomed?? It says card effect, not monster effect. Glitch or??
It must be destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard not just sent to the Graveyard. So, Tribute to the doomed will only work if your opponent uses its effect on your phoenix.
Yes it must be targeted by an effect card. For example, it doesn't come back after dakini's effect, because dakini doesn't target, it just makes you send any monster from your field to graveyard.
