Elegant egotist has no target?
Run stuff to protect yourself, lances or cyclones to protect yourself from backrow + triggering cyber slash effect too.
Or any defensive quick play spell e-con, world legacy clash, mystical life barrier, etc

Add harpy lady to give egotist a target, even if you don't open channeler only be summoning perfumer you can get the syncro or a xyz
You can use hysteric sign as fodder for disruption and go +2 in end phase, it's not coincidence konami just put Raigeki break in a bundle
Hysteric Sign's first effect is mandatory, so if you want to activate Hysteric Sign (to make it goes to the Graveyard when you have no other way to get it into the Graveyard), you have to add Elegant Egotist.
Plus, Hysteric Sign also can add Elegant Egotist back from the Graveyard to your hand, not just from Deck. Meaning it's essentially a RECURRING discard fodder for Lightning Vortex.
Why would someone take the long way of activating hysteric then find a way to destroy it when you can just discard it while disrupting your opponent at the same time?
Why would someone just use egotist as fodder when it can give you a free monster if you had a target for it?
What happens if you don't open channeler? Set and pass? If you had a target for egotist perfumer become a starter too
Cyber Harpie is just a 1800 vanilla that cant destroy anything in our meta. On the other hand, harpie lady #1 300 attack boost can help cyber slash harpie run over many common xyz monster. Also, with field can make her 3100 attacker and deal with the tons of bewd out there.
Why are people preferring Harpie Lady 1 to Cyber Harpie. I get that the 300 ATK boost allows Cyber Slash to swing over other monsters but the chances of having both Cyber Slash and Harpie Lady 1 on the field at the same time is low.
The primary combo is Harpie Channeler after level augmentation into Perfumer and Harpie Lady (from Elegant Egotist). The Harpie Lady 1 then goes into the synchro.
Cyber Harpie offers literally nothing. 1800 ATK isn't even that impressive and not much better than the 1600 ATK from HL1. You probably won't use CH as a beater anyway. So, it's better to have some situational effect.
Ok so it's a best of the worst situation. You have to have a Harpie Lady (that is considered Harpie in the deck) so might as well go with one that gives an atk boost
