You are right, the Power of the Dark version is much better. Gravekeeper's Oracle's effect is just awesome, I don't see how drawing more cards would help except for decking out.
Yami field spell gets blown up a lot in Platinum due to everyone running twister and Harpies everywhere. I used to run Power of the Dark but I run a similiar version to this one now.
Correct, Yami field spell gets blown up a lot in Platinum. But Baggy Sleeves is no good due to the fact 'destroyed in battle'. Did you remember that in Plat. we usual face stealing (Relinq), OTC or even blast held if you face some deck and too reckless. Normally, no one beat you with more attack due to mirror wall. They often work around it instead if you're really saying about Plat, not Gold.
Yeah, if you're not using yami then just use switcheroo. Improving your chances of getting a recruiter turn 1 is very important, plus it's just a versatile skill in general. Baggy sleeves would be great if it wasn't restricted to "destroyed by battle," but it is.
