Semi-Limited status means we will have to choose between running 1 or 2 alongside other semi-limited cards.
I.E. I can run Sylvans with 1 Rose, 1 Marshalleaf, no E-Con OR I can run Amazoness with 2 Onlsaught, no E-Con, OR I can run Cyber Angels with 2 Dakini, NO Petite...etc.
E-Con being Semi-Limited means everyone loses at least one core card. Yay!
Thank you for explaining this, I'm new so I didn't know. I think it won't make much impact on amazoness tho cuz they don't usually use e-con and the few who use it can easily replace it. It did kinda ruined sylvans a bit but the mostly I've seen in PvP they aren't using much e-con because spellbooks.
econ is actually great for amazoness princess + baby tiger combo, but yeah its optional and replaceable. imo 2 onslaught still better than 1onslaught 1econ
I believe E-Con should be Limited, not Semi-Limited, it's too versatile to allow at 3 with the current card pool. I agree, it will be nice to not see it as often, but I think I would rather play 2 E-Con in an unnerfed deck than run E-Con in a nerfed deck. E-Con was free, so there's no reason to cry over it's limitation.
It's confusing at first, I went with the TCG definition when the hammer was first introduced to Duel Links, it's quite different though. Everything took a hit, Sylvans took a direct hit for being such a sacky deck (Not the case in TCG); at least this will promote deck diversity as mentioned in the announcement.
