I don`t know why people think this deck is tier 2. I made it to KOG last month and this month too quite easily. I also reached dm max and qualified. The hardest opponent is an amazondeck, but that`s why I use chaos hunter instead of one decider. sylvans and speelbooks are very easy opponents, cuz I play 3 forbidden chalice. Masked hero is still tier 1
Agreed. I play Spellbooks and Masked Heroes is its worst possible match up in the current meta. Hell, I'd play Masked Heroes if it wasn't so expensive for a F2P player. Great deck indeed.
What? Masked hero is not that hard for spellbook since they cannot evade the banishing effect of fate with Mask Change.
Also, you can chain fate to drilldark effect to prevent the summoning effect.
IMO amazoness and stall are harder to beat with spellbook.
I don't have a problem handling Amazoness as they cannot OTK you as fast as Masked Heroes. Drilldark is the main reason why they are the bane of Spellbooks. And no, chaining Fate does not prevent Drilldark from special summoning another DHero monster. It's basically 🔥 to do that as you will get OTKed if they have Mask Change. I usually pray they don't open with Drilldark when facing them.
