What is the point of copying other people's (or even premade by the devs themselves) decks and strategies? You realize you achieve nothing by doing that? You didn't think of the deck or the strategy, you didn't earn your rank, you've done nothing on your own, except perhaps prove you can't think for yourself.
Intelligently? Please. You do the same shit every game with minor deviations with these decks. And I agree that the meta in this game is very limited, but so what? You don't *have* to tryhard it and copy meta decks. I'd rather not play at all, or not aim for KOG, than mindlessly copy others. It's a waste of time, not an achievement.
It's also a waste of time coming up with "imaginative decks" and getting smashed by the meta and higher quality decks.
Up to the player, do they want to persist with creating their own deck and accept a lower win rate and more frustration or do they play the game with a semi copied deck and get KOG and more rewards?
Rewards to what end?To copy more? You still achieved nothing.Let's be real, people do it to feel good about themselves. You want to feel like you achieved something, without making the effort and actually achieving anything. You want the illusion, not the truth. And it IS possible to not get constantly "smashed" by these decks with a unique deck.I *likely* won't get KOG,but I've beaten CA many times,e.g.
Way to brush it off and ignore the truth. If this were a problem limited to Yu-Gi-Oh, I wouldn't care. But it's an issue in every area of life- all competitive video games, education, views on life, etc. People seek cheap ways to feel smarter and better than they are. This is just another game where it happens, and it makes the game boring. I'd like it to liven up.
DUDE. Their ain't no "truth" and if there was, it's not getting disseminated from an uptight ass like you. If people enjoy something, who the hell are you to say that they suck. Enjoy building weird decks? GO DO THAT THEN. Anyone tells you not to is an asshole. YOU are currently that asshole.
Yeah, because you can't face that you're incapable of coming up with good ideas (or even proper grammar) on your own. If you're really so afraid of actually thinking for yourself, then I guess this game will continue being boring shit where 90% of decks I play against are the same copy-pasted meta decks. But hey, at least losers like you get to pretend they're actually good at something.
I have to disagree with you there. While playing duel links it has become clear that most people will copy and paste deck but not all of it. While playing in high or low tiers you will see a lot of the same decks whether or not it between 3 or 20 different decks. The great part is even when it is as low as 3 different base deck people will rarely use the exact same decks. People often have
personal tech cards or will change one or two cards in the deck. Which a first might not seem like much but it can change a deck will interact with others. When I use this sight to look at decks it is not because I want to copy and paste someone deck but it is to get an idea of what I might want to run. See things that I might not have thought of and then upgrade it from there.
Saying that 90% of the decks you play are copy paste would be incorrect. More then likely you see another glad or cyber angel deck and your like great another copy and paste deck. Which isn't true. Each one of those players will tweek their deck to make it theirs and building off others to make their decks better. That's how a meta is and will always be if you cant see that stop playing the game
That's how a bad meta will be, maybe. A good meta allows for more creativity than that. And you're exaggerating the differences, ~2 different cards in an otherwise >90% copied deck isn't anything to be proud of, and usually people's additions just make the deck worse, the higher the rank the more optimized and identical the decks get. Be real, it takes 1 card to know the deck you're facing.
Of course no one here will have the balls to agree, that would mean facing the fact that they achieved nothing on their own, and truth hurts. And what does Pokemon have to do with this? YGO is a very simple game, which makes the meta so limited. But regardless, everyone has to learn the game, and while some also think of their own decks and *actually* learn, others just mindlessly copy decks.
If you bothered to read the thread, you would see how it was explained that this isn't a problem limited to this game. People without real skill or intelligence looking for cheap ways to feel good about their worthless selves exist in every area of life.
I have a question for you mr anonymous: what do you gain by coming to a page designed to share decks and insulting people who take the shared decks? Do you gain money? Skill? Intelligence? Or does it only fuel your egotistical self to a point where you can say "I am better than everyone who copies decks. I am the pinnacle of humanity, and everyone should BOW BEFORE ME"?
@gadget What I would like to have gained is a more interesting game, and even a slight improvement to society, or at least the awful playerbase here. I already have the other things you mentioned. And as for Mr HaHa, u just mad cuz u know u can't think for urself. Anyone can build these decks, the game is generous with gems.
the point is... well for me I'm a f2p player I use these decks to farm ld's and get further rather than play pvp, so that when I get the cards I can make my own kinds of decks. The problem though is if you want to pvp and want to play something like glads then you will likely be playing the same or similar decks because of 20 card decks and limited tech choices.
If u honestly think all the people here don't have the capacity to be creative, idk what to say. U see, some creative ppl are just sensible enough to accept that most of the time creativity =/= being competitive. Try to get KoG and see how ppl chill there as there is no repercussion for losing. I play some pretty fun decks there and encounter some funky ones as well.
I think the problem lies on the rule which allows 3 copies of versatile staple cards in a 20-cards deck. Like, who would enjoy being caught in Floodgate TH, or Enemy Controller, or burnt without being able to do anything every Duel?
BlueMinotaur Hah, "I can be creative I just don't wanna!", sure, very convincing. And I'm not talking about some random throwaway trash decks you play because you can't get deranked, I'm talking about applying your brain to make an actually usable deck. Anyone can make a random useless trash deck.
And copying others somehow makes you not a loser? Face it, you're worthless on your own. Without others doing the thinking for you, you wouldn't get past gold. I might play something else, but you'll stay worthless. And how is me coming to this page an argument? Use your atrophied brain for once.
LOL I beat some Ninjas and Dino Kingdom decks with those "random trash decks." The thing is, creative decks could win with the right draw, but they aren't consistent, making winning 5 in a row almost impossible. Otherwise, u wouldn't be complaining right now.
BlueMinotaur ...Then your deck is trash.I don't care about your rare wins against "dino kingdom" and "ninjas".I'm talking about making a deck actually usable in ranked, not just throwaway trash because you can't get deranked. And knowing the "creativity" of duel links players, it's probably just a tiny modification of another deck anyway. Face it, you can't think of an actual good deck on your own.
Rare wins? Lol. Can't make a deck on my own? Double Lol. U don't even know my winrate. And yes I was able to get KoG before with a deck that I did not copy but that's irrelevant to the discussion. Ur problem is that u think u r the only person capable of critical thinking. Grow up.
