Ms. Judge, Cup of Ace, and Head Judging all on limited 2 means they can't run 1 or even 2 of those 3 cards, depending on what they choose to put in.

Konami essentially banned at least one of those 3, it's just that which one gets banned depends on the player.

Desperado players, after the banlist, can only run one of these options:

1 Ms. Judge, 1 Cup, 0 Head Judging
1 Cup, 1 Head Judging, 0 Ms. Judge
1 Ms. Judge, 1 Head Judging, 0 Cup

2 Ms. Judge, 0 Head Judging AND Cup
2 Cup, 0 Head Judging AND Ms. Judge
2 Head Judging, 0 Ms. Judge AND Cup

That pretty much kills a lot of the deck's negation power and consistency.

Putting another draw engine still make the deck inferior, though.

Part of the reason why Desperado deck was so good, is because the "draw engine" only requires playing multiple copies of a single Spell card (Cup of Ace), and nothing else. It's very simple.

Adding a more complex draw engine, changes the deck's dynamic.

In addition, Cup of Ace helps satisfy the requirement for Master of Destiny.

Adding non-coin flip draw engine, means you need to use something else to satisfy the requirement for the skill.

And if you're not using MoD, you might as well not play Desperado.

So eventually, you might as well better off playing a different deck altogether.

Yep. Now they don't have both the guarantee draw and the insanely easy multiple negations, they'll have to choose one.

It's no longer a completely overpowered deck now, even with Desperado Barrel itself still unlimited.

Agree, it can still run bot cup of ace and ms.judge, or two cup, the skill update has nothing to do with what makes the deck abusive. These two cards should have been banned - oh wait, but that would hit the usefulness of a structure pack. Instead they hit balance and what grows in the gy, killing a dozen of non tiered fun deck. No such thing as a fun deck. Non tier broken decks are everywhere. From fortune lady every to superheavy samurai, quintet, yosenju, lunalight, mask change, ascalon, trunade, invoked everything..... unlimited banishment, unlimited activation from hand, unlimited recycle, destroying entire field with 1 card, attack > mask change > attack > mask change, non of these decks are not hated by people.
