Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 2 Level 6 or higher Spellcaster-Type monsters, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. During either player's turn, when a Trap Card is activated: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. This card must be face-up on the field to activate and to resolve this effect.

Pros

Negates Trap cards during either player’s turn, this effect can be used multiple times during the same turn.
Powerful ATK and DEF stats.

Cons

Challenging Summon conditions.

Tips

Although powerful in negating Trap effects, this monster can be very hard to Special Summon in the fast paced meta.
This monster is still susceptible to Spell effects, therefore it might be wise to include Silent Magician, for example for additional Spell negation.

Spellbook Method

Reaper of Prophecy

Prophecy Destroyer

Reaper of Prophecy can Special Summon level 5 or higher Spellcaster-type monster from your Deck if you have 5 or more Spellbook Spell cards in your Graveyard, therefore you should have 2 level 6 or higher Spellcaster-type monsters ready to Special Summon Sorcerer of Dark Magic. Prophecy Destroyer can be Special Summoned from the Graveyard instead, by banishing 3 Spellbook Spell cards, to fill in the quota, or it can be Special Summoned via Reaper of Prophecy’s effect from your Deck, and after tributing it to Special Summon Sorcerer of Dark Magic, you can Special Summon Prophecy Destroyer from your Graveyard, by banishing 3 Spellbook Spell cards.

Dark Magician Girl Method

If you control Dark Magician Girl on the Field, you can use Sage's Stone to Special Summon Dark Magician from your Deck, together they make 2 level 6 or higher Spellcaster-type monsters, ready to use for Special Summon Sorcerer of Dark Magic. Alternatively, if Dark Magician is in your Graveyard, you can use Swing of Memories to Special Summon it to the Field to be used as 1 of the Tributes.

Guys there is only one but you can guarantee he is in your hand at the stat with arkanas ability trick up the sleeve. You just have to forgo dark magician for it to work. Use 3 legion of fiend jester cards plus powerful rebirth, ancient rules x 2 and 3 copies of trance the magical swordsman. Also magical something cards because its ability increases its level so two spells and its a level 6 for sorcerer tribute. Its a lot easier now that arkana has that ability.

If Duel Links would release Jinzo which is way easier to summon and has more support this card would be not even worth mentioning at all

When is it actually? Right, a few months or maybe a few years frow now. And ppl will keep complaining about Wall of D or Mirror Wall till then

It also negate your own trap card...interesting card, but too situational, and probably a dead draw...

You >CAN< negate the activation

It just negates your own trap card, if you want it to.

Why do you suggest using silent magician to help this card defend against spell cards only to not offer suggestions on a deck build?

It's quite difficult to summon in a fast-paced meta.
Perhaps it could work in some sort of a Spellbook deck, but even then you still need to have it in your hand in exactly the right time to be able to summon it.

I mean, the summon conditions of this dude made him a bit difficult to summon. But I've been watching plenty of crazy decks lately and even 3 copies of him seem to be viable. Kinda awesome.

I have him him in my Dark Paladin deck and he works great for farming. If you have Fusion Recycling Plant, it makes it easy to summon 3 Dark Paladins along with having throw away cards to negate magic cards. Then I sacrifice 2 Dark Paladins to bring this guy out. Now you control all magic & trap card activations while leaving a monster slot open for gravekeeper’s vassal to deal the 10k blow
