Overview

One of the most useful skill

Compare to other character’s field skill, Rex’s Dinosaur Kingdom skill seems to be most advantage in terms of attack points when the skill is used with Dinosaur-type monster deck and is widely use in meta competitive play.

As the construction of Dinosaur deck are easy to farm from Rex at the gate, players could be able to obtain “Two-Headed King Rex” and “Crawling Dragon #2” easily, and these two monsters (3 copies in the deck) will become the main force of Dinosaur-theme deck. Moreover, this skill could be obtained early at level 4.

For overview of other skills, see the skill section below.

Defeat him to build Dinosaur deck

Rex Raptor’s dueling reward cards contain only Dinosaur-type cards only (except “Collected Power” which is quite situational card, and not so useful generally in most deck). Card you should get are Two-Headed King Rex and Crawling Dragon #2 as mentioned above.
→ Deck to get high score against Rex Lvl 40

Best LD to farm to get drop skills

Rex level 40 at the gate is considered as easy, when compared to other legendary duelists at same level, and player should be able to beat him without much problem with any well-constructed deck, Cerberus farm deck also works perfectly on him without problem.

Maybe they will if Tyranno Hasselberry is released.

There isn't a huge amount of acceptable Dinosaur stuff left. It's basically Ultimate Tyranno, Babycerasaurus, Hyper Hammerhead, Black Veloci, Black Stego and the Evolsaur archetype. I guess Tyranno could work if they gave him the Evolsaur/Evoltile stuff like they did with Bonz and Ghostricks. I wouldn't count on Rex getting much else, though.

Am I the only fan who uses this character out of love for him, not just because he's good? He's so cool, fun and awesome.

Something tells me he will have an animosity over Hassleberry and go as far as calling him a "Dino Wannabe".
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Well I can see the interaction there as Hassleberry has actual Dino DNA in his body and Rex has great passion in his Dinos. "Dino Wannabe" applies to who now..lol..

Sgt Electro & Element Saurus are found more in the Fire Dinosaur decks.

You probably should take them out in your version.

They use Electro to lock down opponents backrow.

Than they use Electro Fire attribute to buff Element Saurus.

They usually add in other fire monsters and sometimes they include Tyrant Dragon as a boss monster in that variation.

Gagagigi is used in the Reptile Dino decks!

They use Gaga because it is a high attack reptile monster.

Than they add in Ultra Evolution Pill which allows them to tribute Gaga to SS Dino's!

You shouldn't have Gaga in your variation because you don't run Ultra Evolution Pill.

Your better of sticking with the normal dinosaur cards for your Vanilla variation.

The other 2 variations are unrelated to your deck entirely.

The Fusion Dino's use Poly + Extra deck.

The Big Dino variation uses high level dino's with Big Evolution Pill.

I think those other 2 variations isn't what you are looking for in the deck you have.

Best bet is to make the Vanilla build!

The suggestions I have for a Vanilla build for you are the following:

-1 Electro
-1 Element Saurus
-1 Gagagigi
-1 Two-Headed King Rex
-1 Mask of Restrict
-2 Order to Charge

+1 Lotus
+2 Crawling Dragon #2
+1 Mad Sword Beast
+1 Fossil Dig
+2 Super Rush Headlong

Most players have replaced OTC with SRHL.
However, if you don't own any SRHL, you can use the OTC.

They need add megalosmasher and sabersaurus as reward of super rex
