Amazoness decks have been getting a lot of nerfs lately with key cards like Amazoness Onslaught and Amazoness Princess being limited and semi-limited. Because Amazoness Princess is extremely important to this deck, we will not use other powerful semi-limited such as Treacherous Trap Hole and Hey, Trunade! just so we can put 2 copies of Amazoness Princess in the deck. Although significantly weaker than previous Amazoness decks it can still be usable because of the large number of Amazoness support available.
Endless Trap Hell Can be used when you have 3 trap cards in the Graveyard. 1 random Trap Card in your Graveyard is added to your hand. Then, shuffle 1 random Trap Card in your Graveyard into your Deck. This skill can only be used once per Duel.
Now that we have access to Amazoness Princess, these cards have actually become much better. If you already have access to Amazoness Onslaught, you could use Princess’ effect to search one of these cards instead. Now that Amazoness Onslaught is limited to one copy per deck, we will need some other way to get rid of your opponent's monsters. Amazoness Heirloom is an equip card you can give your Amazoness monster to destroy anything it battles. Once per turn the monster equipped with Amazoness Heirloom is not destroyed by battle, that way you can crash it into stronger monsters and destroy them with via effect. Amazoness Fighting Spirit gives you a significant 1000 attack boost when your Amazoness monster is battling a stronger opponent helping you attack over them.
Amazoness Willpower is included instead of Powerful Rebirth because this card can also bring back Amazoness Queen from the graveyard, also it’s second effect that obligates your Amazoness monster to attack each battle phase isn’t as awful now when paired up with Amazoness Queen.
The main goal of this deck is to start out with Amazoness onslaught and start banishing your opponent’s monsters with its effect, that’s why you use Restart or Balance to raise that consistency.
Amazoness Onslaught’s effect will activate after the damage calculations, even if your monster was destroyed by battle, which means the way this card is countered is with cards like Super Rush Headlong. This card’s effect activates even if it was your opponent who attacked, so if you don’t have enough life points you can put your monsters in defense and still banish your opponent’s monsters.
This card also has two other effects. The first one being that you can special summon 1 Amazoness monster during your battle phase and it will gain 500 atk this turn if you do so. This means that if you have this card on the field, and an Amazoness monster in your hand, it’s best to not normal summon during your main phase, but rather go to your battle phase and then special summon it for that attack increase. You can also use this effect during your opponent’s battle phase, this can be very useful for survival. Keep in mind however that this effect can not be activated during the damage step, so if your opponent attacks and you want to special summon an Amazoness monster you need to summon it during the battle step.
Its third and last effect is that when this card you control is destroyed, you can special summon an Amazoness monster from your graveyard. So even if your opponent gets rid of this card , you get some last use out of it.
This card is now even better because you can also special summon Amazoness Queen with it (Onslaught does not have a level restriction).
This is the new level up reward from Mai. This is the only monster with a level higher than 4 in this deck, which doesn’t pose a problem since she can be special summoned from the hand with Amazoness Onslaught, or special summoned from the deck thanks to Amazoness Princess. She has an amazing effect that makes all your Amazoness monsters invincible in battle (but they can still be destroyed through effects like Sylvan Marshalleaf).
A great way to make your board is to summon Amazoness Princess at the start to search out Amazoness Onslaught, and when you attack a monster with a higher attack (while Amazoness Onslaught is activated) you can discard a card to special summon Queen in defense position, so your Princess won’t be destroyed, but their monster will be banished.
Because your monsters can’t be destroyed by battle you do run the risk of your opponent attacking the same weak monster over and over (like Baby Tiger) to remove all your life points, so be careful with what you decide to put in attack position.
Her effect also protects herself from being destroyed in battle.
This card alone will probably be able to put this deck on the tier list. When she is summoned you can add an Amazoness spell or trap from your deck to your hand, most of the time you’ll pick up Amazoness Onslaught, however if you already have one in the hand or on the field you might want to pick up an Amazoness Heirloom or Amazoness Willpower.
Her second effect allows you to summon 1 Amazoness monster from your deck in defense position whenever she attacks, you do need to discard one card to activate this effect. This is a great way to search out your only copies of Amazoness Queen or Baby Tiger. You’ll probably first want to search Amazoness Queen, but if you already have her, Baby Tiger is a great way to gain card advantage as well since he keeps coming back from the Graveyard.
We settled on these two ladies for our main attackers.
If you do not have 3 copies of Amazoness Paladin you could replace her with Amazoness Swordswoman or Amazoness Tiger.
Amazoness Paladin is here for her high attack, she will always at least have 1800 attack, but she can get up to 2000 maximum which gets over the most popular level 4 drops.
The only way you’ll get use out of Amazoness Sage’s effect is if she is paired up with Amazoness Queen, if she can attack directly, or if you used Windstorm/Curse of Anubis and attack a monster in defense position because in most situations her attack will be lower than all other level 4 monsters (even the level 4 destiny Heroes have more attack).
Amazoness Swords Woman can be used as a beater and can also be an alternate win condition. You can search her out of your deck with Amazoness Princess and if Amazoness Swords Woman is in your hand, you can special summon her with Amazoness Onslaught. With battle protection from Amazoness Queen or Amazoness Heirloom you can crash into your opponent's monster with Amazoness Swords Woman to inflict damage to your opponent. Your opponnent's Wall of Disruption can be used to your advantage if you use Amazoness Swords Woman to attack to deal a ton of damage.
More copies of Amazoness Paladin can be picked up with the UR tickets you get from doing PvP.
Other good spells/traps to use with this deck would be cards like Ultimate Providence/Forbidden Chalice, mostly to negate the effect of combo starters, but because you run a lot of traps, Ultimate Providence can be used to negate an opponent’s trap.
If you are looking for a great card to counter Amazoness deck, try out Chaos Hunter. She will stop the banishing effect and can be easily summoned since Amazoness decks special summon a lot.
This card can be special summoned from your hand or graveyard whenever you summon an Amazoness monster. You can bring this card back over and over again and crash it into your opponent’s monsters (while Onslaught is on the field) to gain card advantage, and use your bigger Amazoness monsters to attack your opponent directly. This card does have a very low attack, so you’ll have to be careful with your life points if you attack with this monster, this is why Holy Guard could be a great choice as a skill.
Although it might be situation most times, this card can come in clutch. Imagine having an Amazoness monster with Onslaught on the field, and you have Impenetrable Attack available, you could force your opponent to attack with all monsters meaning they would all be banished.
OMG NO! My deck which has been viable for 6 months is being phased out. THAT IS SO UNFAIR. I spent thousands of gems Konami. This game is blatantly P2W. I deserve a refund on my Structure Decks. I need apology Dream UR tickets to compensate me. It's not like the DLC I spent money on in other games in which I don't get more than a few months of gaming mileage from.
I just tested a nerf version in casual and I won all 4 of my duels. It is too soon to tell yet, though. All I faced was was Yubel fire king, 2 morphtronics, and U.A. Apparently, mighty slugger does not negate the heirloom's effect.
Thats what they said when GB and Ancient gear were meta
Before nerf : 3 Princess, 2 Onslaught
After nerf : 2 Princess, 1 Paladin, 1 Downbeat, 1 Onslaught
It's weaker after the nerf but still a good deck
Fur Hire actually got hit harder because they depend so much on their monsters and Konami just didn't let them play as many monsters as before
Strange, people usually hate the most popular deck... or should I say: "Those who plan to boycott duel links always hate the most popular deck while claiming to be "the general public"(?),
Promoting hate against the most popular decks makes the boycott easy, that's how they plan to get rid of a competitor in the market and push their own game.
It has happened to Microsoft as well.
Do you Remember that: "XBOX has no games rant"?. It was created to deceive the general public and boycott Microsoft, so they can push the sales of their HUGE multinational corporations such as Sony.
