There can only be 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster on the field. If there is no face-up Field Spell Card on the field, destroy this card. Your opponent cannot target this card for attacks. This card can attack your opponent directly. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK.

Can attack directly even when your opponent has monsters.
Can inflict large burn damage to your opponent.
Cannot be targeted by attacks.

Cons

Destroys itself if no Field card is present.
Only one Earthbound Immortal can be on the field.
Burn effect requires you to destroy an opponent’s monster which does not align with this monster’s ability to direct attack.

Tips

Mausoleum of the Emperor

A great field card to use with any Eathbound Immortal monster. Not only does it let you easily bring them out, being a field card it will sustain the summoned Earthbound Immortal.

Field Spell Protection

Earthbound Immortals live or die by your Field Spell. You can use cards like Field Barrier and Magic Reflector to protect Field Spells your Earthbound Immortal need to stay on the field.

Magical Citadel of Endymion

Magical Citadel of Endymion is good for sustaining Earthbound Immortal monsters because it is able to protect itself by removing Spell Counters. As long as Spell cards are being activated during the duel Magical Citadel of Endymion isn’t going anywhere.

Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce

Equip Twin Swords of Flashing Light to Ccapu Apu to attack twice per battle phase. This will bring his attack down to 2200 but you will be able to deal 4400 damage per turn, enough to OTK.

Hardened Armed Dragon

Using Hardened Armed Dragon as tribute fodder will make the tribute summoned monster immune to effect destruction. This prevents the Earthbound Immortal monster from destroying itself with it’s own effect.

lol trying so hard to figure out a way to make a consistent deck with this guy. My one idea is to have 2-3 earthbound linewalkers? that negate the immortals 🔥 effect
3 fiend griefing traps
3 call of the archfiends traps
2-3 of those traps that let you summon from hand or graveyard
3 orcthos
1-2 necrofear
and finish it up with something else.
if you get the linewalkers out then the big guy out, the opponent can take out the linewalker and he remains on field. This seems too clunky and no way is fast enough but imma try it.

There was a bug at this card when I duel Kalin. You can't attack this card as supposed its effect. but it wouldn't let me attack him directly.

I've seen it being played in Triamids, but honestly... I've been playing it with Aromages lololol because I like plant decks.

This card was summoned against me and to be honest it made me mad...the text says if their is no face up field spell on the field destroy this card..it had no field spell attacked me directly..I had terror incarnate on the field I summoned a monster then tried to use last hope of nepthys to destroy my monster and Ccapac apu didn't work I end my turn terror incarnate's effect didn't work ..he still DID NOT have a feild spell and attacked me directly AGAIN ending the duel..I feel TOTALLY ROBBED..not only that he was summoned the first turn

I hope that they will introduce more similar events so that stall decks like Yubel/Nephthys auto lose after 5 turns. :)

Trust me I tested this with a Triamids deck purposely cycling a card from grave with dancer with 1 card remaining in the deck. Tried tried till I milled my opponent well over 10 times. I swear it has a hidden ability of sticking to the play mat.

Funny, i was using an nightmare maze + altar of the earthbound god, and every time that i was about to discard the altar with 4 tokens, this **** would so happen tp be the next card that i drew...

Altar only brings it to the field if it is in the deck...

Anyway it's targettable by any kind of spell/trap/monster effect.
I don't care the spell field...
Hundred Eyes Dragon is more powerful.

I was thinking about using the Endymion field spell to protect him since it cannot usually be destroyed. Only problem would be bounce like Cananga or banishing effects.
