If you control a Spellcaster-Type monster: You can banish up to 3 "Spellbook" Spell Cards from your Graveyard; apply this effect, depending on the number of Spell Cards banished for this card's activation. You can only activate 1 "Spellbook of Fate" per turn.
● 1: Return 1 Set Spell/Trap Card to the hand.
● 2: Change 1 monster on the field to face-down Defense Position or face-up Attack Position.
● 3: Banish 1 card your opponent controls.

Tips

Retrieving Banished Spellbooks

Use these cards to retrieve your banished Spellbook cards. Spellbook of Eternity adds a banished Spellbook spell card back to hand. Wheel of Prophecy, when special summoned by another Spellcaster-type monster, allows you to return as many banished Spellbook spell cards back to the deck and return the rest of them to your graveyard.

Why they should unlimit book of fate

1. It's effect only once per turn and cannot even copied by book of master
2. It's costly to activate, there are lot of card with similar effect with low cost on the game right now
3. Few people play spellbook right now, coz it's lacked explosiveness and protection, also it's not splashable in many deck unlike many other archetype that currently in game

Even with the support of empress and hierophant xyz it won't be as broken like the other deck anyway :)

They have to sell photons first, that have their own spellbook of faith, so until the sales drops fate will stay at limit 2

curious to know.. when my oppenet uses this card and picks the number 3, it does not tell me which card hes picking? is it because it does not "target" even though it sort of does

yes, that's why you gotta active your traps before that since fate doesn't target, you won't be able to active once fate selected your bg

This card represents the power of the spellbooks, but what would happen if I use cursed seal of the forbidden spell against this card? I'm afraid the opponent would surrender immediately

Pretty much same as a mirror match. Whoever gets Silent Magician first shuts down the opponent.

This card is the only reason that SB is even good, a quick play banish is sometimes all it takes to turn the duel around. Unfortunately for this deck users it’s only a rare card, so it’s a prime target to get limited or even forbidden when it’s this decks turn to get nurfed.

I think that's the point. Konami released cards like Onslaught, Fate, and Mayhem/Dyna/Wiz as R so that they can be hit later on.

You're right.
I was thinking that the most troublesome fur hire is beat, but since beat is SR, very likely it will go untouched.

Thus, left dyna & wiz to be on the list in the future if they continue to pose threat.

But, I think it could be too much if they put both dyna & wiz on semi. Not sure which card will hit the ban list though
