If this face-up card is destroyed while in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard. While this card is treated as a Continuous Spell Card by this effect, during each player's Standby Phase: Place 1 Pumpkin Counter on this card. All monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK and DEF for each Pumpkin Counter on this card.

Pros

  • Works as well as Wonder Balloons without the need to discard card(s).
  • Effect happens continuously during each standby phase.
  • No limit to the number of counter that can be put on it.
  • Can only be stopped by using spell destruction cards like Twister.

Cons

  • Decreases your opponent's attacks slowly.
  • Takes up a spell/trap slot.

Tips

It is a very useful card that can be used in any deck since it lowers your opponent monsters attack.

Be careful when attacking a lowered monster since Twister is a quick-play spell that can be activated during your turn, increasing their attack back to normal.

With the addition of Straight Flush, it's recommended to not put 2 other spell/trap including this card since they can all get destroyed.

A good deck has balance in knowing how many copies of backrow hate you should use and how vulnerable your deck is to backrow. Game is not a competition of which monster is the biggest and meanest and never was.out of my entire tenure on duel links, I've never lost to a pumprincess deck. In fact, I know that the instant I watch my opponents using pumprincess I will win with a 99% chance.

Yes there is balance, but what he was arguing was against the comment "Yes, fill ur deck with spell destruction. That way you lose anyway."

He wasn't saying that you 'must' have s/t removals, but that it isn't always a bad strategy (depending on the game), like others here like to think.

If you're dealing with pumprincess, there's a chance that you won't get to use your traditional decks.

Only by 100? Are you dumb? 2 turns after you destroys this shit and you have -400 damage and allllll your monsters, considering that you just need +0.00001 dmg to kill a mob, and its not just atack(as woonder b.)but def too, with 4000lp, I can tank 2 or 3 turns before I lose and I never meet my storm

I don't mind the card its the fact that it works on cards not in my control like ritual and deck cards not even summoned cards not even in play yet shouldn't summon with all counters in effect it's ridiculous

Everyone's running at least a twister. Issue is that you automatically lose if you don't draw it.

Sounds like some people have problems adding s/t removal of all damn things to their decks.

The game is not "BIG MONSTER ME KILL YOU EHEHEHEHE", you need to effectively balance your monster, spell and trap counts. Anyone that has problems with this card is trapped at the stage Joey was in episode 1 of Duel Monsters.

Well, this card pisses me off because there is no skill involved with this card, you place it down in defense position, and your oponent attacks, and they never knew what hit em, its a bs card for bs players.

Face down defense monsters are always flipped face up first before the damage step. Because the card is now face up when destroyed, the condition is met.

If that were true there would be NO PURPOSE for "Flip" effect cards. Thats not how it works. Face up means it's faced up at the start of your turn. What you are referring to is a FLIP effect. There is NO face up effect that works like this. Either game made an error or the description is bad.

Or, or, OR: Ya know, you guys don't know your cards and don't never bothered to use Pumprincess outside of Duel Links? Because it is acting EXACTLY how it should be in both the TCG and the very few console/handheld games it has reached. So bring your complaints somewhere else, or, ya know, actually be prepared for a card like this if it is so common? (which it really isn't) -_-

Ultimate Providence cannot activate if it cannot destroy the monster. Pumprincess's effect activates from the graveyard after it's destroyed on the field. Since the effect activates in the graveyard ultimate Providence and chivalry can't counter it.

the problem is that pumprincess never leaves the field so it doesn't activate from the graveyard... for example, yomi ship is already destroyed when his effect activates but ultimate p. can counter it, pumprincess says : "If this face-up card is destroyed while in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap , instead of sending it to the graveyard".it never goes to the grav.

by battle. I assume it flips like a flip effect monster right before it's technically "destroyed", but I checked the wiki and there wasn't anything that actually said that, so I'm kind of not sure.

A monster being attacked will flip face-up at the start of the damage step, which is why it still works.

The effect should not trigger while set. The trade off of this versus balloons is summoning it versus setting it. Because such low attack you are almost guaranteed to take a LP hit. its supposed to be paired with block attack or the lp trade off. The card would not explicitly say it otherwise it would be "when this card is destroyed" not "when this FACE UP card is destroyed"

But it DOESN'T activate while Set. If you attack it while Set, it now counts as flipped FaceUp, like Spirit Cards.

If you activate a card effect that destroys it while it is face down, the effect doesn't activate, but as soon as you attack it, it will be flipped face up. The same is true for flip effect monsters.

I forgot to add that, even though it doesn't work on this cancer card. Stamping Destruction does which doesn't make any sense. They both say destroy a spell/trap card on your opponent's field. But with Exterio's Fang, the spell/Trap card has to activate which in pumpkin princess' case, she ACTIVATES her effect while being in the spell/trap card zone and can be destroyed by cards like

U only negate it if it was destroyed after u summoned Horus. Before u summoned it, it already happened so it still works

Even Horus can't stop this card, it activates as an effect monster, and is treated as a continuous spell. So Horus cannot negate the activation.

Yes its konami fault for making these type of cards. The same with kaibaman aka cards. They are making more op cards to counter an op card as a solution. That's creating more problems as the fundamental problem still exist.

Why does the effect work when it´s set and get attacked? Shouldn´t it have to be face-up before it gets attacked or does the flip count as it being face-up?
Anyway, this card is rediculously overpowered and not even UR. I didn´t know it existed until i dueled someone who had it.

A destruction through battle happens AFTER flipping the monster face-up, meaning it was face-up when it was deatroyed, satisfying the requirements

If you destroyed it with an effect while it was face-down, however, it would not activate.

But yes, amazing card. Like auto-Wonder Ballloon. Looking to nab my second!
