Pros

Locks down up to 2 set spell/trap cards your opponent controls.
The cards are not destroyed so they still take up space.

Cons

The chosen trap can be activated as a chain to flip it up, partly negating this card's effect. Quick-play spells can be used as well.
If this card is destroyed, the set spell/trap can be used again.

Tips

Use this card before summoning monsters so your opponent can't use the commonly used cards like Windstorm of Etaqua, Enemy Controller or Order to Charge.

Recommended to use this right after your opponent sets down cards so that can't activate set traps right away.

a 3rd? no way, 2 is more than enough.
let's say your starting hand has 3 Xing Zhen, what are you gonna do? block your own Xing Zhen when you opponent has no traps? 1 - 2 are ideal

It's just me or this card is already nerfed?
It's only target 1 set spell/trap card
And after activate this card still in spell/trap field :v

There's another card named xing zhen hu replica. It only target 1 card but no card can be activated in response to it.

Both this & that card will remain on the field because it is a continuous trap.

This card is a bit underrated but it's actually gaining some popularity in these last days due to control decks and BB.

Another pro is that your opponent will likely use their spell/trap destruction cards on this to get access to their cards again so it acts like a cyclone lightning rod so to speak, protecting your other set spells/traps

LOVE this guy.

I love going first and setting this thing, then seeing the other guy set two cards which 9 times out of 10 are Wall of Disruption and/or Enemy Controller. It's so satisfying to lock down those overused meta cards and just PUNISH.

This + Gyokku man ! jeez ! insane combo since too many are playing heroes, gladiator beasts or even spellbooks when they throw up their entire hand to field to protect Fate.

Opponent wont be able to do anything once you activate Gyokku + Xing Zhen and summon your stardust on field field

This is a very good card to use against anti meta memers. Screw you battle traps!
