You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 2 monsters with 2000 or more ATK. During either player's Battle Step, when this card battles an opponent's monster: You can target the monster this card is battling; banish both the opponent's monster and this card. At the end of the Battle Phase, return any monsters banished by this effect to the field, and if the other monster was an Xyz Monster, this card gains 500 ATK for each Xyz Material it had when it was banished.

Does anyone know why the Ai refuses to summon this? It doesn't summon galaxion, doesn't use its effect to summon itself or even tribute summon it. It would rather lose than summon this card

And just now, it tributed galaxy eyes and galaxion to summon galaxy eyes

This card’s banish effect is kind of trolly. It can activate its banish effect multiple times during the battle step. That means even if it’s negated, it can keep on activating it again until your opponent runs out of negates. They had to patch the game so GEFD couldn’t endlessly stall your opponent for time when it loops negation with Fiendish Chain.

Thought this was a glitch lol. My opponent tried negating my GEPD with their lunalight’s graveyard effect, but I kept on reacting until he ran out of negates. He raged quit right after.

Any idea which mini box I should go for next. I've finally finished the photon mini box and wanna know any related decks with the cards I got from it. No regard for meta, just fun deck.

Utopia box contain some good rank 4 engine which is the main selling point of photon box

Casual Deck met GEPD summoned 3 beater in turn 1.

-twin photon lizard
-starliege lord galaxion
-galaxy eyes photon dragon

yet i beat him without normal summon and trap spell turn 2... just special summon 2 times, end turn.

I hate how the summoning animation shows that it's green, and then zooms in on its eye and you can see the skin around its eye is blue and then the card itself is blue and it was only ever blue or black in the anime

You need to use the damage step trick: there are cards that increase your monsters’ attack during that window when his effect can’t be activated. Here’s a screenshot for an example. Surprise him with a buff to your monster that takes his card down.

Not a chance. It has zero protection: these galaxy and photon bosses: getting pawned by backrows left and right. That's how I farmed Kite Tenjo.

What are some decks that are “character decks” with good backrow, then? Not necessarily meta, specifically looking for character accurate.

There are none, characters don't need more than 1 trap card because they have plot armor

Even someone like Odion, whose deck is traps only, only used trash traps

I find him better than Atem & Jaden/Yubel. I am much more angrier when I see Atem putting Slifer onto his field without tribute and wtf with that Neo Spacian Onslaught?? I don't call that "summon" they can just put broken monsters onto the field for free.

He doesn't always have this card in his opening hand, because he sometimes searches for it.

Yeah that's the thing though. Either he has this card in opening hand, or he has the searcher in opening hand.

In the end the result is always the same, he has this card turn 1.

Not always. He definitely has several search mechanics to put it into his hand. Combine that with all the ways he has to bring it out, it is not that surprising.
