During your Battle Phase, if your opponent controls a monster after this card's first attack, this card can make a second attack. Negate any Trap effects that target this card, and if you do, destroy that Trap Card. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard, unless you Tribute 1 Dragon-Type monster.

Evaluation

Pros

  • An abilty to attack twice by using its effect which can deal a massive damage if it's paired with a card like stop defense.
  • An effect can negate a normal trap card that target this card which make it invincible against strong meta trap card such as magical arm shield and michizure
  • A good restriction on its ressurection condition in which players need to tribute another dragon monster to special summon this card from graveyard. Since low star dragon cards are still rarely used and therefore your opponent that only put card like Autonomous Action Unit without other dragon cards will be unable to use it.

Cons

  • An effect which required to tribute dragon cards to special summon tyrant back to the field is kinda a burden to a user itself since the user need to use two cards to resurrect tyrant dragon.
  • Still affected by most meta spell and trap card such as Mirror Wall, Windstorm of Etaqua, Riryoku and etc.

Question to those who have this card. Did you actually get it before buying every pack in the Tyrant box?

I am only 13 packs away from every pack in the box and still nothing. I realised i have none of the primary UR monsters in any box so wondered if its witheld until the end of the box to keep you buying more.

Widespread ruin destroys the card with the highest attack. That sounds like targetting to me. It targets the monster with the highest attack, pretty specific. It shouldn't affect Tyrant Dragon.

If the card's text doesn't state "Target", then it doesn't target.

Don't make up your own definitions you moron. that's not how the targeting rule works.

CHILL^^^

But yeah, widespread doesnt target. Correct me if im wrong, but any card that targets would require the player to click and choose a card (for example Enemy Controller). Widespread doesnt ask the player to click and choose a monster, and therefore doesnt target.

Doug (ColossalIC) Reply
Fate asks that and doesn't target.

Mirror wall would still work since it doesn't target cards

This card + riryoku. Not even mirror wall will save you now.

This card actually sucks. There's like a thousand trap cards that still affect it. Blast held by a tribute, mirror wall...
<< Anonymous

That's because those cards effect several monsters not just this one specifically.

He can still attack two monsters per turn with stats just shy of BEWD. That's even more important than a situational trap immunity.

This card is so broken. Someone used this on me and I thought I was about to lose, but instead I was able to destroy it with Blast Held by a Tribute.

Edgar81539 Reply
That's not broken, that's people being stupid, Blast Held by a Tribute doesn't TARGET. Holy 🔥, why can't people understand that something targets only when it says TARGET

You are right by 95 % but for example there is security orb does not say in description that it targets but he actually targets so can be negated by tyrant dragon
Safirium
Got a few questions: Does his first attack effect work when special summoned by the effects of Kidmodo dragon? And do you have to attack the turn you summoned it for
The effect or does the effect apply on the second turn also?
<< Anonymous(Safirium)
Lathryn Reply
According to me, the condition of double-attacking is when you 🔥 an opponents monster, and you can activate it whenever.
Brian
How do I special summon this card from the graveyard? I can't find the option to do it even though I have dragon monsters to tribute.
<< Anonymous(Brian)

Its effect doesnt mean you can revive it by simply tributing another dragon. It actually means that if you try to special summon Tyrant dragon from the graveyard (with another card effect) you must tribute a dragon you control on top of that

still getting destroyed by trap Cards......

if the trap doesn't target it won't be negated

COST DOWN!!! I Love this Dragon

Works to avoid the Lava Golem stall strats. Since it can attack twice you can leave it as your only monster on the field as you clear most common stall monsters. Use Totem Dragon for an easy summon or combo Vanguard of Dragon with Kidmodos effect to summon it on turn 1 if you start with it.
