Pros

Useful if you perform a tribute summon, to stop opponent monsters effects and opponents traps from activating.
Easy to use because its a quick-play card.

Cons

Only works if you tribute summon, special summons do not count.

Tips

Together with Champion's Vigilance will make your high leveled monster cards get control of what your opponent can do.

Mausoleum of the Emperor considered normal summon,

So, this card wont work right ?

Correct: Mausoleum won't work because the monster has to be tribute summoned.

works perfectly if you dont have CV yet, can work with stray lambs tribute set or cost down. you just need to make sure that you set first overwhelm and wait for your opponents turn or your next turn. and make sure to switch first your 7* up monster into a faceup atk pos if you used stray lambs.

Btw, it looks like CV but it cant negate spell card

True, but CV can't negate effect activation, so that's something at least.

I used Kieser Seahorse to get BEWD and my overwhelm did not work against any traps or effects. Help?

that wasn't count as tribute summon dude! it must be in normal way to tribute, not tribute from 1 card monster effect; special+tribute=special tribute Ring-a-Ding Baby!!

So this happens, i tribute summon BEWD using bubonic vermin flip summon. Then i added overwhelm to my back row.i waited for almost 2 turns for overwhelm to be active since it doesnt work on my enemy's security orb then after 2 turns my BEWD was destroyed by michezure hence i got overwhelm.lol

Did you Flip Summon Bubonic or the Blue Eyes? If you flip summoned Blue Eyes then he was originally Tribute Set and never Tribute Summoned...
