When a face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls just activated an effect (except during the Damage Step): Negate that effect, and if you do, change that monster to face-up Defense Position.

Gravity Axe - Grarl

Just switching your opponent's monster to defense alone won't really help much, but cards like Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke and Tragedy can be used to destroy defense position monsters without needing to target them. If you simply want to stall the duel, you can use Gravity Axe - Grarl to keep them locked, which can be good in farming against certain Legendary Duelists.

Sylvan Komushroomo, Sylvan Komushroomo, Slate Warrior, Jowls of Dark Demise & Magical Merchant

This card can be a good counter to negate Flip Effect monsters such as Sylvan Komushroomo, Slate Warrior, Jowls of Dark Demise or Magical Merchant (situational)

Candend

Basically budget version forbidden chalice but this card doesn't target. This card is useful against monster whose effect is only when they are just hit on the field like the entire crystron synchro monster, monarchs, quintet magician. Not to mention shiranui sunsaga, chimeratech rampage dragon, black rose dragon

and don't forget that it negates that monster's effect permanently. So good.

Are you sure about this being a permanent effect loss? I think, it just applies to the activation... Still powerful in the right moments, though. ;-)

Very usefull card if you don't have floodgate / canadias.

It permanently removes effecfs from some monsters.

Is that a bug?

It was used on my inaba white rabbit.

In the turn afterwards i swappes the rabbit back to attack and than he didnt return to my hand after a succesful attack.

Return to hand when it normal summon at the end of the turn that is an effect. When you negate it even if the negate last at the end of turn. The inaba won't return to hand. I tried this with Chalice

Inaba White Rabbit's effect only activates once (since a card like Forbidden Chalice would otherwise cause Inaba White Rabbit to make an infinite loop), and only during the turn it was Summoned/flipped (hence why it didn't return in a later turn).

No, someone is just too lazy to check and read the entire effect of a certain level 1 monster that is a plant-type despite she's nowhere close to look like one

Out play sylvans all the time and have loss two games from using memory loss in this exact situation. Guardoak effect is negated and doesnt get turned into def after memmory loss resolves. If rose lover negates memory loss then why does the guardiok's effect get negated but doesn't get put in def.

VERY UPSETTING CAUSE THERES NO SKILL IN THE PLAYERS I MATCH USING THESE DECKS

Still raging... please explain why Guardiok's effect is negated no problem but doesn't change to def... (The second time this happened Guardiok was on the field from the previous turn.

and if you do, it is unaffected by your opponent's Trap effects this turn.

Memory loss
Negate that effect, and if you do, change that monster to face-up Defense Position.

This card is pretty good. Will be useful against Sylvan Komushroomo, Vision HERO Vyon and Amazoness Princess and the Geargia monsters.
