You can Ritual Summon this card with "Chaos Form". This card's name becomes "Dark Magician" while on the field or in the GY. Once per turn, when a Spell/Trap Card or effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this Ritual Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Chaos" or "Black Luster Soldier" Ritual Monster from your hand, except "Magician of Chaos", ignoring its Summoning conditions.

  • Floats into a Chaos or Black Luster Soldier monster.
  • Good removal effect.

Cons

  • Being a Ritual monster makes it costly to summon.

Tips

  • The removal effect can be triggered during you or your opponent’s turn and by either you or your opponent activating an effect.

  • The removal effect can only rarely protect Magician of Chaos from your opponent’s Spell/Trap effects. For example it can destroy Mirror Wall before it becomes a threat.

hmm, great card

I am attacking an opponent monster (it was gaia the fierce knight) with this card when my opponents activating quick play spell “concentrating current” to raise gaia’s attack, but i am not able to chain it with this card’s quick effect to destroy the monster. Anyone can explain?

No unfortunetely i dont save the replay.
But that was pretty much everything related. I dont see any cards in the field/GY which effect that prevent my MoC to activate its quick effect in order to response the concentrating current. So i’m wondering whether this is a ruling issue or bug, the clear thing is that the quick play spell activated in damage step

Keeper of dragon magic is a strong card. And can only get better as we get more fusion support.

Got two have a perfect hand to summon this and you git no effing protection not to mention you are down -2 in your hand giving a huge disadvantage to your starting hand Almost feel like you have to rely entirely on how your opponent set their field to activate its effect, which in this meta everyone has protection to some degree

Structure deck is incomplete, structure implies it comes with all support cards supporting the main archetype but they added a bunch of useless 🔥 cause Konami hates spellcasters

Couldn't activate its effect when my opponent activated one of his 'magician girl' effects. Same when he activated magician's robe's effect. Any idea why?

Ah ok. Got confused because of the wording "when a Spell/Trap Card of effect is activated" and thought it meant monster effect.
