Zane Truesdale (Ryo Marufuji in JP) is the top duelist of Duel Academy, being one of the few people who were able to beat Jaden in a duel, as well as the rival of Jaden Yuki in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. Later in the anime/manga, after experiencing several losses and losing hope, he participated in an underground duel where he is then forced to change his ways and eventually becomes "Dark Zane", becoming more aggressive and unforgiving with his playstyle.
How to get
Cyber Style Can be used each time your Life Points are at 3000 or below. Play 1 "Proto-Cyber Dragon" on from outside of your Deck for every 1000 Life Points below 4000. This skill can nly be used once per Duel.
No Excuses! Can be used if your Life Points drop below 500. Instead of doing a normal draw, "Power Bond" is added to your hand from outside of your Deck. This skill can only be used once per Duel.
Fatal Five If a monster attacks 5 times during one turn, you win the Duel.
His signature card is Cyber Dragon, which is an archetype consisting of mostly light attribute monsters. Cyber Dragon shares many similarities to Blue-Eyes White Dragon, with the exception that it is not a normal monster. After his personality transformation later in the series, Zane uses a different deck. While still focusing on Cyber Dragons, they mostly consists of their darkened version.
So basically, Crowler gets an unlock event right away, but the hot GX guys (Jesse and Zane) have to roam first. I hope that this isn't a pattern that GX is going to continue to follow... (I apologize to anyone who doesn't agree with me about Crowler not being hot).
tbh i dont see his deck being meta changing at all his cards revolve around traps and spells nand their effects get stopped by floodgate and econs and super rush all plat and above have those cards...i will farm him but probably on for some other spell and traps. his deck losses if you dont draw the trap none of his monsters can be summonened without it.
Oh, I know Konami is afraid of Jinzo. Which is stupid because there are plenty of ways to kill him. And it's not like Horus killed spells. I imagine they would only give one as Espa's signature card. With Marik, they may possibly be afraid of Necrovalley (also stupid to be afraid of). Zane hasn't been around THAT long yet, so it might not be fear of his Cyber Dragons on Konami's part for him.
Also Obelisk which is unaffected by spells and traps is kept fpr too long. They gave us Ra and i have never seen anybody using that card in the game. They should add more popular and classic cards even as limited cards. Besides no card is unbeatable.
Exactly. Obelisk is the card version of Zane, Espa, and Marik Ishtar. You know it is there, but Konami is just fidgeting around with worry about it being too powerful. I think that some people might use the gods in pvp, but I only use them to farm. And if everything that is too powerful gets released, what difference does it make anyway? Konami is just biding their time to the inevitable.
true, but one wrong move and you are over. if you use union and secret pass for vassal, it doesn't matter in which order you do it. but for piranha and martyr, you need to always remember to use secret pass first then use martyr, it's a common mistake I've heard from a few farming experiences.
i guess we should get it by unlocking zane (whenever we can) but we were able to farm red dark magician from arkana 2 times before he was unlockable so you are also right :/ but i will be settled if the ur drop of the event would be cyber dragon. after all it will be broken when you play it and go second against almost any decks
Cyber dragon is my favorite deck in yugi oh. when zane got a duel, i feel sure he is going to win.
One of my favorite character, when zane is come to duel links, i'll put the icon and game mat my zany.
Love Kaiser Ryo♡♡♡
He went from being a sweet and sexy guy before he graduated to a super sexy bad boy as Hell Kaiser Ryo. I can't wait to get him and try Cyber Dragons! And then I will replace my Aster game mat with his instead.
For those curious, I should add: Jaden's words were for a different reason. Syrus kept drawing bricky hands, unlike Zane. Jaden then comments that this is because it isn't his deck, so it won't respond to him, so he should ask the deck what it wants. Syrus discovers the deck wants to improve, he adds Roid cards, and now not only did he stop drawing bricky hands but the deck also stopped shocking
TBF, this was a MASSIVE retcon. In Season three he was having heart problems because of his continuous use of electrodes on himself in his underground duels, eventually succumbing to a heart attack and dying in his duel against Yubel. Season 4 had him mysteriously wash up on a shore alive with no explanation given and then ignored the whole electrode thing and made it be about his CyberDark cards.
If a monster attacks 5 times you win the duel, well hopefully you would the duel by the 3rd attack. damn
