Just seeing this card makes my blood boil after all the times the standard duelist have used it against me.

That being said, I just got this card in a pack (which is why I went to this page) so I guess I’ll be joining the dark side and using it myself now haha...

I set a adhesion trap hole to counter if/when my opponent uses his vanguard of dragons ability to special summon blue eyes... but it didn't activate. Does anyone know why? I was under the impression that it didn't matter what kind of summon the opponent does...

This just happened to me today which is why I came to this page to find an answer, for some reason it didn't work when my opponent used kidmodo to summon Blue-Eyes

The times you can't do it are pretty simple. The Summon has to happen outside the Damage Step (since cards like Floodgate Trap Hole are Normal Traps, which normally can't be activated there), and the Summon has to be the last thing to have happened. (So the Summon effect can't be Chain Link 2 or higher, or do something after the Summon, such as Trojan Gladiator Beast's draw.)

Why it cant be activated when silent magician lv 8 is summoned from non-lv silent magician

Are you sure that you didn't try to use this the turn it was set? Because traps can't be activated until next turn.

Adhesion Trap Hole does not work when monsters are special summoned, which is stupid. I've just lost 2 matches because of that.

neither are good but the monster doesnt have to be tributed to activate adhesion trap hole, which is why they arent even comparable

I guess, but the kind of monsters you want to apply these cards to are usually tribute monsters. That said, special summons are the real issue these days, so they are not covered by Blast, but would be by Adhesion... so I think you're right.

Basically that. Big meta decks like CA and either variant of Red Eyes, for example, won't proc BHT but will be able to be adhesion'd.

what i can think of is something to reset the monster's attack, something that banishes the monster and brings it back like interdimensional matter transporter/dimension gate, or a spell like half shut, yes it halves the monster's attack even more, but after the end of the turn the monster's attack is reset to its original attack

This card should be UR. It's literally almost like Mirror Wall, but it affects only one monster though, the effect last the entire duel until the monster is destroyed. Plus, you don't pay any life points or any sacrificials.

I forgot to say, this card has 🔥ed me so many times in the first turns. If it's my first turn or opponents I'm 🔥ed either way. It's depressing when you have a deck that revolves around BEWD, REBD, Dark Magician or anything similar to them.

It only works for normal summon? How about special summon and flip summon?

This card is dam irritating becoz of its perm effect. It should tone down to one or two turn.

That's NOT what the card says. It can be triggered during ANY kind of Summoning, it literally doesn't matter which.
